We sent one to the White House because they do send responses back (you get a nice pre-printed card wishing you luck from POTUS and FLOTUS).

We also got a double frame for our parents with the  invitation framed on one side and a wedding photo on the other.  The rest are just sitting in a box in the back of my closet.

I shredded one of my invites and put it in a clear glass ornament, we hang it on our tree for Christmas.

So far what we have done with our extras;

Sent one to someone who had their invite lost in the mail.

Invited someone who accidently got left off the last copy of our invite list (with myself, MOG, and MOB sending back and forth copies of the address list, I should have seen this happening)

Allowing my mom to invite some of her co-workers now that the the RSVP list is smaller than we thought it was going to be.  We weren’t really going to do a B list, but my mom now works at my old high school (development with in the last 6 months) and she would like to invite some of the teachers/administrators, and since these are people I know, I’m not against the idea.

Having one at our wedding for photography purposes.

Keeping at least one more to frame/put in an ornament (I have seen the idea on pinterst and have fallen prety in love with it.)

One for photos, one to get signed by Disney Cast Members and one to get signed by the guests who come on our destination wedding with us. Those two will get framed side by side and act as a guest book (this part doesn’t look outrightly invitation-y, though, we had a bunch of inserts 🙂 )…

We ordered 10 extras, and due to the amount of declines, from just the save the date (3.5 hours away from his side of the family), it looks like we’ll be needing more than that. Can’t order less than 75, though – Bleh!!!

My mom used one of the extras to use in a little wedding display that includes my dried out bouquet. The others are still sitting in a box under my desk 8 months later. I have no use for them, but for some reason can’t throw them out. Stupid sentimentality.

jenilynevette:  Make sure to keep one or two for yourself as a keepsake.  It also doesn’t hurt to keep a few around in case you have any last minute invites after you get some declines/something.
