I need some advice. My reception venue has a set up for 20 tables. The problem is that I only need 14 tables to fit all of my guests comfortably. I don’t want to purchase 6 extra table runners and centerpieces and decor for the tables that aren’t even going to get used by our guests. That just means more money spent on an already wayyy over budget wedding. However, I don’t want a bunch of empty tables to empty out the room. Any ideas on how to either use the tables or something. Any other bees run into this issue?
ETA: The reason this is a problem is the reception hall does not have any storage to remove those table and chairs, so they have to stay in the reception room.

Why can’t they just take down and put away the extra 6 tables?
ETA: That’s very strange. I’d only suggest putting less people per table to use them up?

I was told by the owner they have to stay in the room because they do not have any storage for the table and chairs on site.

Can you use a couple up with your cake, guest book/gift/card table? Maybe add a game area or a coloring table for the kids at your wedding?

gift table, cake table, groom’s cake table if you are having one, guest book table, purse/coat table, etc. There are plenty of ideas to use them up!

You could put less people at a table? We are probably going to put 5 people at a table to take up more space, as our venue is HUUUUUGE.
We are having a cake table, candy buffet table, photo booth table [for camera, accesories], card/gift tables, favor tables, our dj will need a table, guest book table.
There’s all kinds of things you might need tables for!
