My fiance is going to be working quite a bit of overtime and I'm looking into getting a part time job. I don't know what we have that I could sell...maybe our wii. haha. Seems like those things get played one or two times then they sit around and collect dust.
I'm doing some moonlighting. Mostly, we are cutting expenses (fewer mini vacations between not and then, fewer dinners out, that sort of t hing). And we'll go kind of light on people's Christmas gifts this year, and use some of our gift budget on the wedding.
We're cutting expenses more than making more money. We both have full time+ jobs that are stressful... we're not really interested in moonlighting.
We're paying for our wedding ourselves too, but our long engagement (22 months) is giving us enough time to save up what we need. We're also frugal by nature, so we don't pay full price for anything, which is helping keep us under budget!
I have extra money being taken out of my pay tward my income tax. So come time for us to do our taxs we will be getting a few thousand back extra
we are having a 16 month engagement!!! my fiance and i are 22 and 23 work full time and go to go full time!!! plus i feel like wedding planning is basically a part time job lol!!! we are going ligth this christmas, using income tax, saving his scholorships, i also make cakes so ive started to a small side business for my cakes!!! but basically i have stopped my shopping addiction hehehe and slowly but surely everything is fitting intoour 5000 weddign budget
I am working a FT and PT job and putting $50 from every paycheck in a savings account. We're not getting married until 2012 so we have time :)
I'm having the same issue. We just decided to push our date back to allow for more time to save. I'm looking for PT work and on top of that, we're just trying to save where we can.
I've even thought of chopping down the guest list, which sucks. :(
By the time our wedding rolls around, we will have been engaged for over two years, so we've had quite a bit of time to save. Could we be doing more? Absolutely! We don't eat out as much, or go to concerts, shopping, etc. My fiance has picked up a few extra shifts at work and we have been putting every extra dollar that has fallen our way into savings.

So what are all you bee's doing to get some extra money for your wedding? We are paying for this ourselves, so we're attempting anything we can think of (well anything short of bank robbery, lol)
We've been having yard sales and i've even started selling Avon: www.youravon.com/kwixson , if any of you ladies are interested :)
Just curious how everyone else is pinching pennies and acquiring extra money for their big day.....
