I would probably do at least a bit of it, but I’m in Canada too so no luck. It would be amazing to save that much money!

There are lots of ways to save with coupons other than those people on TV.  Honestly, I think they are idiots for having 200 bottles of shampoo and sanitary pads when they are in menopause.  They make people who use coupons normally look like freaks.

I haven’t been couponing lately but when I did I was nowhere near them.

The main way you save with couponing is looking for the rock bottom price at the store, not with the actual coupons.

I’m not organized enough for it. I might use a coupon here and there, but I don’t have the patience to spend an entire day in the grocery store waiting in line like the people on that show do.

@MsGinkgo:  We tried it for awhile (like 2 months max) and saved a LOT of money but it took so much time. I hated having to “prep” before going to the grocery store. I just want to go there, get what I need, and come home.

I used to coupon moreso, but I haven’t much lately. And I was never very extreme. I’d see a coupon for something I wanted/needed, and stash it away for when I went shopping. But I’ve never sorted hundreds of papers nor bought things I don’t actually want.

@MsGinkgo:  I wish we could do this in Canada also but I doubt I would have the organization to pull it off LOL I also use the PC plus card but I find Loblaws kinda expensive compared to other stores. I also use Air Miles at Metro but I only buy sale items from there as they are a bit pricey also. My go to store is Food Basics love that place!

@MsGinkgo:  Yeah the thing that they don’t mention on those shows is that things go on sale every 6 weeks or so.

They don’t say this but those people actually stop shopping for a few weeks or months to make it seem crazy how much they buy.  Also on some of the earlier episodes, there are suspections of coupon fraud.

@MsGinkgo:  Haha that’s so funny!  I do admit that I had package upon package in my garage from when I first started couponing until I realized TP goes on sale a lot!
