So, I just finished eBay bidding on the wedding veil I fell in love with this wekeend at David's Bridal, and I can't stop laughing at how ridiculous I got over the whole thing.

I had no intention of paying full price for the veil, so I decided to hit up eBay and found several auctions for the exact item, and I was determined to win one of them. I had an alarm set to remind me when there were five minutes left, I kept checking the item all day to watch the price, and when there were 30 seconds left, I decided to strike.

This is the way I used to feel before athletic events/competitions in high school, and it didn't hit me until after one of my eBay pep talks just how ridiculous I was being...especially over a piece of tulle with some beads on it.

Does anybody else get a little too excited when eBay-ing? Or am I the only one who is a little nutty?...

Alternately, what other great eBay wedding finds have people made?

    :-)

I'm just like you.  Total Sniper.  I used a program a few times years ago, but it works best when you're doing it live. :)

I'm also a sniper. Typically, I usually get the first bid and then watch it like a hawk and in the last 30 seconds constantly reload and prepare to increase my bid.

I won a $300 flower girl dress for $40 a couple weeks ago and won a $179 David's pearl tiara yesterday for $30 (with shipping)!

It really is an illness. :-)

    @yarizs: Oh! Right!

    It's David's Bridal veil style 689:

Extreme eBaying : wedding ebay budget veil accessories auction Veil Detail

This picture is not of me...I borrowed it from one of the reviews on the David's Bridal website, but it will go perfectly with the detail on my dress!

@Jeannine @ Small Chic: The thrill of the chase is what makes it so fun!

@CanadianMermaid: The only person offering that specific one for "Buy it Now" wanted $100, so that wasn't happening!

@Carnival_Bride: I got soooo pumped up. The veil retails for $189, and I got it for $46 after shipping :-)

I LOVEEE EBAY! I ebay all day

Recently, I just won two pairs of Michael Kors sunglasses that retail for over $100 for $30 each, My Queen Bee purchase has been... the Manolo Blanhik Silver Sedaraby shoes ( The shoes that Carrie wears in SATC that get stolen at the shower) I have been looking on ebay for over a year for a pair for the right price of course and last month someone listed a pair one shoe a 39 and the other a 40, I told myself I will cut my toes off to make them fit! I am really more of a 39 1/2 in his shoes.. I wound up getting them for $100!!!!!!!!!!!!! Plus $5 to get the smaller shoe stretched :)

LOVE EBAY - People dont realize how much stuff they sell, tons of Lia Sophia Jewelry, Pampered Chef stuff.. Come on paying full price is just crazy :)

    Congrats on your veil!!!

    Go Savvy Shoppers!

@fashionbug:  Haha I also ebay ALL day!!  So addicted, I'm constantly on it on my phone, always checking, searching, bidding, sniping lol.  The thrill of finally winning something that you've been hunting down for ages at the right price!

I've just now bought a lace bolero, can't wait for that to come in, and bought my beautful ivory peeptoes last week.  Currently stalking veils and glittery headpieces  Ebay weddings all the way!!
