I suggest visiting Macy’s and talking to the Chanel or Yves Saint Laurent people. Products are expensive but well worth it for the eye liner does not smudge.

Try a gel liner instead of a pencil. It’s easier to work with than liquid liner and it does not budge. I can’t vouch for the gels that the drug store sells, I would go for MAC fluidliner, or Makeup Forever. You can use any thin brush, even a paint brush from a craft store.

Pop into sephora and try the Makeup forever Aqua eyes liner.  Otherwise try setting it with a bit of powder, or using a primer underneath your eye makeup?

Yes I definitely agree with putting primer around your eyes beforehand. Also, I’ve had more luck with liquid eyeliner staying on opposed to pencil, but it does take practice!

have you tried revlon colorstay eyeliner? in my personal opinion it stays on the best out of the drugstore brands. also try putting an eyeliner brush in some black shadow and go over your eyeliner with that to set it. that will help with gel, liquid whatever kind you use. i also wonder if putting donesome eye primer or a dab of powder first before you do your eyeliner wouldn’t help it stay. NYX also make some good ones for a good price if you aren’t wanting to spend 20 bucks on it!

You’re probably using kohl style pencil liner, which are designed to be soft and smudgy. If you’re looking for a pencil/crayon liner that stays in place I would recommend Nars Larger Than Life eyeliners or Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliners. They stay on like nothing else. If you’re after a cheaper option, I haven’t tried them, but apparently Rimmel’s Scandal Eyes Waterproof eyeliners are similar in staying power.

@kansas_nurse:  I do the liquid eyeliner “look” pretty much everyday.  I use MAC fluidliner in “blacktrack” and a small angle brush.  If I am lazy and don’t wash my face before bed (it happens on occasion) it literally looks perfect in the morning.  I love that stuff!  I never have a problem with it smearing.

MAC fluidline! OR set a kohl eyeliner with black eyeshadow.

I also love the Bare Minerals eyeliner.

@kansas_nurse:  estee lauders double wear liquid eye liner literally stays put!!! Another option would be their gel liner. While your their they will color match you for free with double wear foundation and  send you home with a 14 day supply.. Stays till you take it off!! Quite remarkable.

Look for waterproof eyeliner. Gel is pretty easy to use, easier than a pencil, I think. I use Rimmel in the pot.

@Krises:  What she said!

Plus, it’s safe to use on your waterline. It’s so much easier to use than liquid eyeliner. I think the brush gives you a lot more control.
