Ok, maybe this is a stupid question but I got to know! Whenever I wear eyeliner or colored eyeshadow it always seems that within a couple of hours it is no longer on my lid but is all in the crease of my eyelid! I’ve tried using a product from Mary Kay that is suppose to help this but it doesn’t work for me. Does anyone else have this problem? Or maybe I have oily eyelids!

Have you tried a creme eye shadow? It lasts longer and can act as a base to add powder shadow. When I use both the creme and a powder I notice it lasts a lot longer.

Try Urban Decay Primer Potion. It really makes your eye makeup stay on all day.

I second Urban Decay Potion Primer! It is like magic!

There was a great post about using chafing cream as a makeup base. I can’t remember what the post was called, but yes, common chaffing cream has very similiar ingredients to makeup primer. Worth a try.
Sometimes I think certain brands react to my skin oils in different ways, so some shadows crease and others stay. I’ve had excellent luck with E.L.F. eyes lips face (available online or at Target). They’re great because you can get a quad of colors for 1 dollar.

Clinique makes (or made) an eyeshadow primer that worked really well. Now I just use a creme and put the powder shadow on top. It holds really well all day!

I have that problem also. I use this:
It’s cheaper than other brands and works!! I originally bought it to learn how to use it for the wedding, but now I use it for work also. My eye makeup lasts all day now.

by the way even cream eye shadows make a crease on me within a couple of hours.

like the other bees suggested, i highly recommend a primer, and using creme eyeshadows!

Mine did that too until I discovered eye primer! I use Urban Decay Eye Priming Potion. It’s like magic, seriously. My eyeshadow stays put for 12+ hours now. I think Miss Scissors mentioned that in one of her make-up product posts, as well!

I have the same problem–i’m 1/4 korean and my eyelids are small (almond, shallow set) and I blink off eye makeup pretty easily. You can fix this by using an eyelid primer, foundation, powder, then setting it. It’s a pain but it works. You have to prep your eye! My mascara touches my eye bone, too so I always use waterproof.

I also use Urban Decay Primer Potion. Especially if you use mineral powder like Bare Minerals, it helps to keep the color down.
