I am REALLY picky about who i allow to come near my eyebrows- it's pretty much just my waxer and my fiance (but you would understand if you saw them- they're beasts. very eugene levy.)
However, i have heard really good things about the Anastasia 'brow studios' that they have in some select Nordstroms and Sephoras.
or you could try this person: http://www.ramybeautytherapy.com/home.html
i don't know anything about them since i'm not in NYC, but if Rihanna and a slew of other celebrities trust their brows to him, then maybe it's worth a shot.
and just for the record, i totally swiped his name from InStyle and you can find the article here: http://www.instyle.com/instyle/package/general/photos/0,,20218994,00.html
I am not familiar with NYC eyebrow artists, but I know that products from Anastasia (at sephora or ulta) are awesome to work with and last time I had my makeup done, the artist used those products. Really keeps them shaped well and in place.
So i visited Rami and i love the result. I cannot say this e<span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman'">xperience is better than i had before, but my eyes brow look lovely. But it is pricey 75$.
I have a GREAT place. Not sure where you're located but this place is on 56 (8th and bway)...it's called Nail Studio 2. They have a sister salon down the street that is a full service salon. But this place is great. Ask for Heidi or Tina (the only two I use) its about $20 or $25 not sure. I live in FL now but every time I come to NY I still go there for my NY "treatment"- hope this helps!
If you don't mind shelling out some bucks, you should go to Mercedes at the John Barrett Salon (Bergdorf). She's incredible and has a ton of celebrity clients.
I third Ramy! He's been named top eyebrow specialist by several major beauty magazines. My former roommate had him do her eyebrows for wedding and she looked amazing. I had uneven eyebrows and he made them even....the guy does miracles. But, he's not cheap.
Definitely try Sania's Brow Bar. It is a little secret off of Fifth Avenue, and the most amazing experience. Your brows will look amazing, and Sania, the owner only uses tweezers, so it is perfect for those with sensitive skin or scared of waxing. Plus Sania will show you how to maintain your brows at home, and will rid you of your bad brow habits wheteher it be overplucking or not finding your right shape. She is a genius!
Hello!
I have been growing out my eyebrows for my wedding in November - can anyone recommend a place that does great eyebrow shaping?
Thanks very much!
posted by annathebride Wannabee: 3 posts 2 months agoit's not a novel recommendation, i'm sure, but J Sisters does a great job. also, i have used Taymour at Paul LeBrecque salon with great results too.
just be sure to do it early enough before the wedding in case you have any post-pluck breakouts!

*note, I am not a threader. i just found it and use it myself:)
