How does this work, extensions? I’ve had fakies for the wedding, but they came off that night.

It was awesome having them for the entire honeymoon!!(-: I don’t want to spend the money to keep then up but it was great having them for the wedding and honeymoon (-: I would ask for details in your area on what kind of maintenance you need to keep up and how long they last/cost cause all places are different (-: hope thar helped!!

I got them and hated them! My eyes were irritated and they’re pretty high maintenance. This is coming from a woman who has a 6 step nighttime routine. I recommend Latisse! Or smoke and mirrors false lashes. They’re the best!

Eh, lashes last with latisse for as long as you use it. Plus, I wouldn’t want to risk my green eyes going brown. That isn’t what my momma gave me!

Have them – LOVE them…..but I am the rare person who is allergic to either the lashes or the adhesive they put them on with….so I was glad that I had tried it well in advance and could plan accordingly – otherwise I might have had puffy, itchy red eyelids for my wedding!

I had them and loved them! I’m not going to continue with upkeep though because of the price. here’s some pics with them fresh and on my wedding day:

Also here’s one with me just in regular makeup and mascara for reference:

Honestly, I’ve had them on for 4 yrs now. Its just like getting your nails done. I go in every 3 weeks, sit back for an hour and relax. I work in the entertainment industry so its perfect to just get up and go with a fresh look everyday.

Here are a few pics from work that show them. Also if your eyes are irritated its probably because you had a reaction to the glue or something wasn’t sanitized. ALWAYS use Shavasana, and make sure the person who is doing them is 100% certified to use this product.

Here is a video with more info 😉 Please let me know if you have any other questions!

I’ve had eyelash extension in the past and loved them!  Not sure if I’ll get them for my wedding next year.  I recommend getting them done no more than a week before your wedding because it looks obvious when they’ve grown out.  Similar to how there’s a gap between your cuticle and the end of your nail polish / acrylic nails when they’ve grown out or showing roots if you wait too long to dye your hair.  You do have to get them refilled pretty frequently if you want to keep them up.  It’s an expensive habit but looks gorgeous!

NOT to be a debbie downer, but I had them done as well, from a reputable place that does amazing hair and nails, and when I missed my 2.5 week appointment and cound’t get in until week 4 my eyelashed started falling OUT.

That’s right-out. The Eyelash they glue the extention to will FALL OFF when it grows out, leaving you with NO eyelashes when you decide to grow them out.  It took months for them to grow back to normal.

ASK where your lady was trained *Turns out mine was SELF TAUGHT), if they can be easily removed if needed WITHOUT losing your eyelashes (She didn’t know HOW to remove them and no one else would) , and if she can test out the glue on your eyes to make sure you’re not allergic BEFORE you have a ton of those things stuck to your eyes. (Another Bee was severly allergic to the glue and when she got them removed, she also had no eyelashes)

After my ordeal, I bought a bunch of strip eyelashes and duo glue and use those dialy. Same effect, less money, and no change of me looking like a wierdo again

@MissFireFlower:  Eyelashes naturally fall out. Are you sure it wasn’t the natural growth cycle of your eyelashes? Since the extensions make eyelashes stand out more, you notice the natural falling out of eyelashes. I’m no expert but these are my thoughts.

@lululime:  Nope, they fell out in large, scary clumps. I had bald spots on my eyelids.

What DIDN’t fall out looked odd, and it got the the point that you could see a seperation of the fake lash and the real one. The extention would lean one way and the normal eyelash would go another.

Taking the extentions off yourself isn’t going to happen. You’ll pull them out.

Some of my natural eyelashes seemed to break under the weight of the fake lashes., so what was left was short and “off” looking.
