    Does anyone have recommendations on discount fabric stores in NYC? I'm looking for raw silk fabric. Thanks!

    The garment center is between 7th and 8th avenues, on 38th-39th streets.
    Try the north side of 39th st first, there are a couple of stores going out of business, you might get a good deal on raw silk.

    i love mood fabrics but it can be expensive!  I'm sure if you ask about their discontinued fabrics or any fabrics on sale they might have good deals.
