@aggiemae:  Hahaha.

Sorry about the game requests… I play games and try not to send them, but the games are really sneaky and if you’re not reading exactly what it says (and they change it up a bit) they can send it to all your friends.

Try blocking the entire app – that should help a lot.

I’ve decided FB is a silly thing to get frustrated with… but it is soo easy to get sucked right in! I’ve deleted a few people in the last month – felt good!

@aggiemae:  just block the games.  I used to find those messages annoying also and blocking solved that.  Often those requests are made automatically and not just spawned out by the user.

Wounds?! Who in the blue foo posts pictures of wounds?! Ick squared. I also agree with the game invites. I’m pretty strict with my acct and don’t have any apps since it asks for your contact info and such, so getting bombarded with random requests is annoying.

@aggiemae:  Ugh, yes, re: sonograms and kids on toilet. We don’t want to see that s$%&!!! I had to hide an ex-co-worker’s feed b/c she kept putting naked pics of her kid on Facebook. Very inappropriate not to mention dangerous imo – keep that stuff in the private family album!

And yes, it’s so annoying to get all excited over that red (1) or (2) in your Facebook notifications only to find out some unemployed ding-dong was just playing Candy Crush or god knows what else.

@aggiemae:  YES

However, I BLOCKED all game requests and add date to bday calendar and all that crap

I ignore people trying to sell things or politely say “no thank you.”

MOST people on my news feed get hidden as soon as they announce their pregnancy and numerous other things bc I dont want to see DAILY pics and statuses of nonsense.

lol

I realize this is an older thread, but I knew it existed so I didn’t want to start a new one and threadjack.

One of my friends on the ‘Book just posted about starting her day with a pap smear/pelvic exam.

Umm. No. Just no.

I have a fb friend that periodically posts about her bowel movements. It’s so gross. We were close in high school and it’s a nice way to keep in touch (about other things) but I’m seriously considering de-friending her.

Oh, I have one that updates several times a day about what she’s made for breakfast/lunch/dinner, interrupted by moaning about her work/health. Just… stop! I ended up hiding her from my news feed as I started getting irritated every time her profile picture popped up.

@Idunn:  I wonder that everytime she posts something like that. Weirder yet, people always “like” the posts and/or comment. I don’t understand it!
