How sad.  Seems like the army really did a number on his brain.  So many soldiers come out with mental illness or addiction.

ETA: UM, i missed that he has not done any tours!

@megz06:  Awww, c’mon – how could you resist the temptation to reply, “I had no idea you saw active duty combat!  When and where was it?”

omg lol I kind of feel bad for him since he’s made such an ass of himself. I’d be so embarassed if my husband was spewing nonsense about anything on facebook like that. I’d probably defriend my husband if he did that!

I would’ve lost my cool and posted on his wall a nice rant about how much action he has really seen and how his posts are a load of attention seeking bull.

@megz06:  Weird…My FIL is 100% disability and he does post some weird stuff but nothing THAT weird. He actually DID serve over seas and was injured during a convoy where he saw a few of his friends die. He has episodes and likes to post weird political rants on FB but nothing so strange as to discuss what he witnessed during his deployment.

This is so sad to read and makes me feel like he is desperate for attention. I hate that he is using some unfortunate military reality to fuel his rant. This is so sad.

@MrsTVLover:  OP said he never deployed…Army basic isn’t so terrible that people come out with their heads turned backwards. Marine training is a different story but OP said he went Army….OP said he is a heavy drinker. No matter the cause this is upsetting and disturbing.

Wow I feel for your bff… Obviously I am no doctor or psychiatrist, etc, but I feel like mentally there is something going on here for him to be posting like this.  Somewhere deep down he knows he would be lying, its almost like he is taking on his father’s experiences as his own?  I don’t know a medical term for it, but I feel like there is one…

@megz06:  Is he trying to say that he fought in wars to protect Americans’ right to bear arms?? I am so confused. I would have been so annoyed too.

I would have called him out on it.. That’s just me.  I can’t stand liars to that extent. Especially when my father was in Iraq and actually SAW people die, and had a bomb blow up right near him that he lost hearing in one ear.  He even saw someone be ejected from a faulty ejection seat of a hellicopter…needless to say it wasn’t pretty.

Stupid people.
