I'm getting married in October and I've read a couple of posts about getting a facial before the wedding, but I've never had one done before. (Background: My skin is slightly sensitive and I have infrequent breakouts).
Do you recommend it, or should I not chance it 2 months out before the wedding?
hmmm well there are a few different types of facials with various intensities. Some will leave you red and puffy, some refreshed and glowing.
Extraction is the part where they "clear your pores" (aka pop your zits) and is the most likely part that will leave you red.
I have acne so i usually end up red and puffy. The swelling goes down after a day or so then my skin is clear for a few days. I'm not sure if i will be getting a facial before the wedding, if i do it will be at least 7 days in advance.
2 months is plenty of time. Try it out and see how you like it and how your skin reacts. But make sure you tell the person preforming it that you are getting married in 2 months and to be extra careful!
you definitely have time to do it. I would say if it was your first time, a month out at the latest. But if you get one now, you have time to see the reaction and then get another right before the wedding if it works out. Also, if you get one close to the wedding, think about skipping the extraction portion of the facial. It can be damaging for the first week afterwards. I used to get facials once in a while, but they never had a really great affect. Then about 8 months before the wedding, I started getting them monthly. My skin was fantastic!
