If you find a facial place that you like, check Spafinder.com afterwards. If Spafinder has the spa listed, then go to Costco (or find a friend who has Costco membership) and they sell $100 Spafinder gift certificates for $80. How's that for saving money?
I am actually getting my facials at Christine Valmy (a beauty school). The cost is only $25-$37 (depending on the time of your appointment), and they have done a really good job on me. This way, I can afford to do one every 4-6 weeks until the wedding!
I get mine done at Istana in Queens. They usually have some type of spa promotion going on so I jump on those cuz the facials come out to about $45-$50 each time I go.
I had the same problem - I spent a fair amount of time researching this on NYCitySearch and NYmagazine but eventually just gave in and went to Bliss (which is certainly not a deal)!
I've been going to Toto Beauty on Hester Street in Chinatown. I get two hour facials that average out to $40, and they typically work on your for 2 hours. Chinatown spas can be a little intimidating if they aren't your peeps, but everyone at Toto is very professional.
Agreed that Chinatown are the least expensive. This place is great and their new location is much nicer than where they used to be. http://www.joeanbeautysalon.com/32.html
What kind of facial do you want? I have really really senstive skin, and needed an algo mask, so I got a decent one at finesse. But the best facial I've probably had was an oxygen facial with the algo mask at Bliss...but it was pricey.
They don't have a Web site, but I've been going to Wellness in Flushing for years (well before it was called Wellness) and they have a great atmosphere (even mani and pedis are offered) and compared to Manhattan prices, they're at around $50-70 depending on what you get. You can choose not to get extraction if you have sensitive skin.

I have been going to Cara at Euphoria Day Spa. It is around the price of bliss but well worth it and if you buy 5 you get 1 free I believe so I have been able to go for 1 a month until my wedding. She also gave a recommendation to the somme institute product line which I am now in love with. Again its more than I wanted to spend but I see the results everyday. What a difference in my sun spots and red acne scarring.
So many chances to get a BAD facial, Go to Christine Valmy, they have a school which has lower prices but even if you go to one of their salons it will be much less than $125!
Go to Mario Badescu (not expensive and all the celebs swear by it) or Bliss. An alternative is to check on www.lifebooker.com which is a service that lets you book spa appointments at a discount. It's fabulous.
can anyone suggest a good place to get a facial done in NYC that is not ridiculously expensive (over $125)?

@crave13: Susi works at both locations, so if you call either, you can just find out her schedule and ask for her earliest available!
