We’re doing our engagement photos soon and I’m having troubles thinking of the right colors for us to wear. We’re both pretty fair skinned so our colors are limited as to what looks best. We’re only doing casual photos so whatever shirt we wear will be with jeans. Here is a old photo of us:
I also have more current photos but I had blonde hair in them. Now I’m back to my natural brown color which is very close the the color in the photo. What color(s) would look good on us together for photos?

You look so tan compared to me! I’m really fair, and I find that jewel tones work best for my skin.

@Meowkers: Thanks! 🙂 I think it was a trick of the light though. My face is much lighter (and more true) of my skin tone.

Yeah, your skin tone makes mine look ghostly!
I like to avoid really dark colours (in shirts/dresses) as it tends to emphasize my paleness. But on the other hand I do try and avoid light yellows or whites as they can wash me out at times.
I think that medium tones would be good. If your looking for a pop of colour a purple or blue might bring out any pink tones in your skin as well as emphasize your eyes.
I would suggest red or green but those two colours can be really tricky — the wrong red can draw out green and yellow tones and make you look sick and the wrong green can draw out oranges & yellows with the same effect.
I would suggest trying on a few things maybe taking some ‘test’ pictures in natural white (northern exposure) light and see what you like the best.

(Re: my skin tone) Maybe its a California thing. I’m really pale compared to everyone else in Orange County.
