I love eyelashes, and I think that you should def give it a shot! :"]] I only wear them on occasion, and they do not bug my eyes at all. It feels a little weird (and heavy) at first, but very easy to get used to. I usually get mine from the drug store and it is: Andrea - Modlash Style: 33 Black They are inexpensive and then you just need a good glue. If you are doing them yourself I would practice before :"]]
Hm, I'd suggest trying them out before deciding for the big day. :) I've never worn them either, but I wear glasses 24/7 so I don't think it'd work good for me.
Oh my gosh, yes, they look fantastic in photos! They feel a little intense in person, the first time you put them on, but they look fabulous in photos. If you don't wear eyelashes, you lose all your eyelashes in photos unless you have ultra lush natural ones. Just go to Walgreens and buy the generic $5 ones. They have the Duo glue that is the best--get the clear.
I was totally freaked out by lashes and my mom and makeup artist said, "no, you MUST!" on the day of and i just went along with it. It made me look more like I do in real life, in pictures, if that makes sense,
Thank you so much ladies! My make up artist said she will put them on for me but I needed to provide them. I guess it is worth it and I will give it a try.
do you have a sephora near you? you can have them put on there and see how they look, then buy another set to bring to the wedding for the MUA to put on. even if you know you want them, you won't know how the ones she'll use will look unless you've tried them before. you can also do the individual lashes if you're worried about them being too much. or you could have eyelash extensions done before you leave, they'd last the whole time! i'm can't wait to have an excuse to try them!
I had had false lashes at my trial but on each eye in the same spot there was one glued actually on the lid...I think she meant to do it to make them appear thicker there but it looked like I had two rows of lashes! It bugged me and I didn't realize till after the fact, so I'll need to mention that at some point I guess...
I have really small sort of almond like eyes that I really hate...so for some reason I decided to go dramatic with false lashes...made a HUGE difference, I reccomnd them
@MrsE.ToBe : We don't have one here. I live in a smaller town :(
@cosmocity : Thanks for the tips
They feel weird when you first put them on, but 5 minutes after you won't even feel them.
Personally, I don't like wearing strip lashes because I do not think they look very natural (if you're going to a dramatic look, that might not be a problem), but I love single false lashes (They look like this). They make your eyelashes appear thicker and longer, but they look much more natural.
Brand wise, I have tried all kinds from expensive brands to drugstore brands and I really don't think there is a much of a difference concerning quality. That said, definitely get DUO glue. The cheap glue does not work very well.
I agree with the other bees.. strange at first but after a couple mins you will forget they are there. Ive only had them applied by the MAC people.. and they only use their own stuff...
I also hear great things about falsies... then you really don't have to wear a lot of mascara so if you shed some tears... no running mascara down your cheeks! Another trick I heard if you put them on yourself is to cut them in sections and it supposed to be easier to put them on! Not sure if it works but sounds like its worth a try!
I have single eye lids making my eyes very prone to irritation from fake lashes. However, I LOVE the way they look. All my photos look so "bridal" IMO because of the lashes. My make-up artist used a no-name brand and they looked amazing. When I don't have a make-up aritst I use Mac lashes. So that's the range. I think they all look amazing no matter the brand really.. just my opinion though.
I don't wear the strip eyelashes, but I do wear the individual false lashes. I love them! It took me a couple tries to get the hang of putting them on, but because you glue them to the base of your real lash, they won't fall off until your lash grows out. I like that they are a bit more permanent than the strip ones, and they look so natural. I put them on monday, and I don't have to wear mascara! It's like makeup without wearing makeup

I am trying to figure out my wedding day make up. I will not be able to do a trial run because I live out of state. The big question at hand is to use lashes or not? I normally wear make up about 3 days a week and I have NEVER worn lashes. I think it would add to the look. However, do they bug your eyes? What brand do I buy?
