I don't think you can tell from a distance
I think it's a great idea
We used silk petals to line to ailse.
I was worried at 1st that it would be tacky and people could tell.
But it looked AMAZING.
brilliant idea!!! i am totally going to think about doing this!
A few months ago at my church there were these gorgeous flower arrangements at the altar, and after the service was over my sister and I both went up to check them out...only to realize they were fake! We weren't even that far away and had no idea. You could totally pull it off!

So I am wondering if this is a completely bad idea or not. I am trying to be budge conscious and flowers just are not one of those things I want to allot a lot of money towards. I was wondering if guest would be able to tell if I DIYed two very large flower arrangements to go near the alter. The church we are using has the alter about 15 feet from the front row and is elevated about 5 feet up. I am thinking about these for inspiration. Based off of these pictures my florist is quoting me about 150 a piece!
Hopefully I could do them myself with some good quality fake flowers for less. What do you guys think? Has anyone done this? How did it work? Would you do it again?
