@Jaydensmom:  I think that’s a good idea actually, you’ll be able to secure them better (I think) and keep them forever! Win-win

@Jaydensmom:  Nope not weird at all!

We used fake flowers on our gazebo and then we used real flowers for the bridal party and reception!

I think that’s an awesome idea! I would do it!

I see no problem with that whatsoever. As long as the fake flowers look pretty good from afar, people probably won’t be close enough to them to even tell the difference.

We’re doing the exact same thing.  It’s so much easier since you can do it far ahead of time and there is less chance of destroying them moving the arch.  Plus not many people will see it close up so I doubt anyone will no if they’re real or not.

oooh good call! we’re doing a chuppah and i’ve seen so many photos with beautiful flowers on them but it would be quite expensive and hard to set up.

i think @Kit_Kath is right too – people won’t be up at the altar so they likely won’t realise they’re not real 🙂 thanks for the idea!

This is what I plan on doing! My mom also has a weird thing against fake flowers (like a Chinese superstition or something) but she is okay with fake flowers for the decorations as long as we have real flowers for the bouquet and boutonniere.

@weddingbound:  I love the combination of your flowers! What else did you use besides lilies and roses?

@Jaydensmom:  We’re going with fake flowers on our arbor/arch and real flowers everywhere else.

No one will be sitting close enough to the arbor to tell that they’re fake, so go for it!

@pandabee:  my bouquet was a mix of a few different types of roses and ranunculus. Gazebo was lilies, roses, greenery, and can’t rem what the white filler was. The artificial mostly came from Joann’s and micheals
