I’ve never worn fake lashes until my wedding.  I think they looked great in pictures and really made my eyes stand out.  My MUA used lashes from MAC.  I also think though they do tend to look too much when paired with heavy eye makeup.

@FutureDrZ:  I wore fake lashes for my wedding day..there’s so many different looks.. You don’t have to get any drastic looking ones.. Get some that are more natural looking that blend in with your own lashes.. That way your lashes will look a little fuller but not that extreme.

Edit: I did a full on makeup look.. I wanted to look glamorous.. I love Makeup! I didn’t do a club look but did have a bronzed/ brown smokey eye, with peach/pinkish cheeks and a nude/ pinkish lip.. Lashes and all but not full out long lashes.

I’ve never worn fake lashes either.  I’m planning to do my own makeup so I wouldn’t even know how to apply them.  So this is a dilemma for me as well.  I’d like to look natural, but at the same time my natural lashes hardly appear, even with mascara.

I love false lashes, but sometimes they look sooo thick! I’m getting the individual ones put on, hopefully the spacing won’t make it look as thick.

@FutureDrZ:  I think it all depends on how the lashes are done and which type you buy. In my case my MUA used the individual lashes. They looked AMAZING in pictures and It didn’t feel or look like I was wearing them. They looked very natural, just made them longer and fuller. Here’s a pic.

I did the individual ones as well. Definitely recommend!

@FutureDrZ:  There is a difference between drug store lashes and professional make up artist applied lashes. I would highly recommend wearing false professional grade lashes on your big day for that added pop.

I am wearing fake eye lashes and I really don’t think it looks over the top at all. There are less dramatic options if you want to add fullness but not obvious length as well.

@Autumnsnow:  Definitely do a trial run before the big day. They can be tricky to apply but it does get easier after a few applications. Consult a professional to recommend a brand of eyelashes and adhesive as there are TONS to choose from. You might feel a bit strange at first, I did. It felt really heavy but after a few minutes I couldn’t even tell I was wearing them.

My lashes are naturally blonde and stumpy so I am absolutely going to wear some. the nicest ones that I have found so far are by Shu Uemura- called smokey layers. They are pricey (They run around 28 USD) but they look pretty natural while still being just a touch dramatic, not ‘clubby’ at all, and perfect for my wedding look 😀

@FutureDrZ:  I’m going to be wearing false lashes on my wedding day. I wear makeup every day, but I’ve only worn false lashes once. I wore them out to dinner on one of my first dates with my SO, and when I looked in the mirror after dinner, one of them was falling off. So just make sure you get high-quality ones with good glue. Definitely do a trial run before your wedding day to make sure they’re going to stay on. But I didn’t even feel them when I was wearing them, and there are plenty out there that make your eyes stand out beautifully without looking ridiculous or fake, so that’s good.

I don’t wear a ton of make-up, but for my wedding day it’s fake lashes all around. They really made my eyes pop at the trial.

@Treejewel19:  Do they stay intact?  I guess I’m always afraid that they will eventually become undone and fall off.  Lol.

@Autumnsnow:  IF you apply them correctly with a good adhevise they will stay all through your wedding and heck probably all night. They are pretty durable and long lasting for an event. Like I said definitely ask a professional for a recommended brand of lash and adhesive (I don’t remember what I have at home, sorry!)….this will make things much simpler.
