I’ve considered buying CZ rings from ebay/amazon with different sized center stones to see how they look on my hand.  Unfortunately I’m a size 9.5 and can’t really try things on in the store. 🙁

I have been thinking of getting one! Just to satisfy my urge to have one.

@gut_feeling:  I have “fake” rings, but I’ve worn them forever! Its okay, you shouldn’t feel silly, its just for fun!

Never had a “fake” ring.

But I have had many gemstone rings over the years that Mr TTR has bought me.  Always wearing the “lastest one” on my ring finger.

When we were dating 6 years, and I were into discussing My / Our Life Timeline, occasionally I’d look down at the latest ring and say “This ring is gorgeous… but the rock is the wrong colour”… and smirk / smile.

He sooo knew what I meant.

I am married now, but when I wasn’t, I invested in a fake ring to wear in public to keep people from hitting on me if I rode the train into work as opposed to driving. I also wanted to get used to a ring on that finger, so I knew it was a “done deal” more or less.

I wear the ring my SO gave me for my birthday on *that finger*.  It makes me smile.  (:

I am too scared to wear a fake ring..I wouldnt know where to start. should i get a mockup of “the ring” I want. should i go to the 99cent store and get a 4 buck ring? is this only a “shame” ring that i can only wear when the SO isn’t around. I like the idea of having a ring so that guys wont hit on me. hmmm.i think if i were to get a fake ring i would just get a band. I donnow…

I just got my Diamond Candle ring out yesterday.  It looks a lot like an engagement ring!  Granted it has a (fake) non diamond stone in the center with a (I’m guessing) CZ on each side, and I think I’ll only have clear, colorless stones in my e-ring some day… but still!  I’ve been wearing it on my left hand all day today. 🙂  It’s so blingy and sparkly, and it may be influencing my taste in e-rings.

I used to wear rings on my ring finger all the time, lots of different ones (even e-ring looking ones). Looooved it. Now I’m kind of sad I only get to wear one. Doooo it doooooooooo it! One can never have enough rings anyway! 😉

I was just looking at cz rings yesterday! I know it’s gonna be a while before I have my “real” ring, and sometimes I just want to see something glitter on that finger, I get hit by ring cravings once in a while, like it’s a food or something. But then I closed all the tabs I had open and decided not to. Still might one of these days… I do wear a band while travelling alone though, but that doesn’t really count.

I totally bought one today at Claires haha!  Hope I don’t forget about it and wear it somewhere 🙂  Gosh I hope he proposes soon!

@StuporDuck:  I do the same thing! Yesterday I was out w/o my fake ring and got hit on with SO standing right there. He was furious, and all I could say was ” If I had something from you on THIS hand, we wouldn’t have this problem”.

Wearing it around the house just for fun? Why ever feel guilty for that??  It’s a “fun” secret, not a bad one! Just don’t do it in front of your SO 🙂
