- Wedding: September 2013 - Castle Farms, Charlevoix, MI
I want a fall wedding theme, with some brown decor. That’s my must! I do not want the dresses to be red or purple, but I wouldn’t mind incorporating those into the flowers or decor. At first thought, I wanted yellow, but the photographer suggested against it because it maight get washed out because of the very light and bright venue. I thought then gray, but the venue is gray (an old castle.) My only other idea was an orange, but I don’t want it to look to Halloweeny. What do you suggest? I was thinking the Alfred Sung collection with the peau de soi fabric. What colors??????

I think you can a green or blue and have the wedding still feel like fall with brown as the other color. I would consider appletini, jade or caspian.

What about chocolate brown dresses with red, orange, and yellow flowers? Almost like the colors of the leaves changing during the fall! If not brown. . . I love the idea of plum or navy blue for fall.

I don’t know if it’s too close to the red that you don’t want, but you could do a pretty burnt orange and they definitely wouldn’t look Halloween-y!

We’re doing a very Fall themed wedding, with long black dresses for the girls. Then incorporate bright fall colors into the flowers, although our main colors are black & white with sage green, brown and bright orange accents. My thought is any color can go with black (and black is so classy!), so it opens up my color choices a bit. 🙂

@brittanybed: You could probably find a very pretty orange that doesn’t look Halloween-y, if you look for more coppery oranges: http://www.polyvore.com/marchesa_embellished_silk-organza_dress/thing?id=43862422

I’m having a fall wedding and am having my bridesmaids in plum. However, if you want another color, I think a copper or a penny color would look nice – it’s enough brown and orange, that it won’t look Halloween-ish. Or, you could go with a taupe or a light brown, so the colors really pop.
