You could use white pumpkins (they aren’t a stark white) if you can find them. It would save the painting.

You could place one on a cake stand that you can also make yourself ( a plate on top of a short candlestick)  and paint gold.

or you could nestle a pumpkin inside a grapevine wreath sprayed gold. you really don’t have to use a whole wreath either. If you can find lengths of grapevine, soak it in water to make it pliable, then wind a few strands into a loose circle shape. tie it together to let it dry in that shape, then spray paint.

If you can’t find lengths of vine, soak the wreaths , then unwind them and do the same thing.

Here’s a pic, but I think it looks a bit rigid. I would unwind and loosen up the grapevine.

My vision of the grapevine would be somewhere in the middle between a grapevine wreath and the pic below- looser than the wreath above, but a little more grapevine than this net pic.

You can surround either of these with votive candles.
