I think that raspberry would be a wonderful fall color! It would make me think of all the reddish leaves. Could you put chocolate in with raspberry and orange?
I agree with MissAsB. Another option is to do a bright yellow, orange and the dark taupe
See, I seem to think so! I'm so happy you can see my vision for the colors! My sister is just so creative so when she does not like an idea (or if its an idea that is not hers) so is not open-minded. Thats why I wanted to get on here and get some unbiased, honest answers! I'm SO excited, we just nailed down the date yesterday and I can't wait to see all the fall ideas (but semi-BRIGHT fall ideas, nothing drab for me, but something that still makes sense!)
I think those colors would be beautiful for fall.. you can mix chocolate in with those colors too if you want, but I think it's a great palate.
thank you! I'm sure you will be seeing a lot of me now that I know where to go for some good, unbiased advice!
I am getting married October 9 of this year and my colors are chocolate, turquoise, pink and orange! With pink and orange, you have SO many options for flowers. I say, it's your wedding, you do whatever you want! My BM dresses will be chocolate, and they are wearing turquoise, pink, and orange stone jewelry. Then my flowers will be pink and orange. You can definately make pink a fall color!
I definitely think raspberry would fit into a fall wedding!! Those colors sound like they will go great together!
I think they sound just fine as well. I always think that regardless of the season...your wedding is YOUR wedding... your colors are YOUR colors and there shouldnt be a rule of thumb on what colors can be used when... But in your case I think you are well within your palet and tell your sister she can pick her own colors for HER wedding.
Those colors sound great together! If you she is having a hard time "seeing" your vision, then I suggest you do something similar to what I did with my mother...
I went to Michaels and stalked their cardstock/scrap booking aisle and found some sheets that had my colors together, bought them, and showed them off! :)
I love the colors dare to be diffrent its your day my theme is also fall ..Actually Fall N lOVE....My colors are chocolate, burnt orange and ivory all my bridesmaids are dying to c the groomsmens chocolate tux but hey I decided to b diffrent everyone has black or white tux......so go with the pink ffall leaves are awesome colors i bet u could find a shade ov pink on one....
I say choose the colors that make you happy! I love the idea of pink at a fall wedding--sounds very pretty! Your colors reminded me of a SMP post that I loved--the colors here aren't exactly your colors, but it's just a good example of a gorgeous fall wedding where the bride didn't choose traditional fall colors:

I had this idea in my head of having bright rasberry, orange, and dark taupe being my fall wedding colors. My sister is ALL over me saying she cannot picture pink in fall and that makes no sense, is that true?? So now to avoid a fight I'm letting her decide on some of the colors (if I dont, she will for sure throw a temper tantrum and not help) and she likes chocolate with champagne. How can I meet in the middle? I want a bright color paired with the chocolate...
