@isabelle_8 The Weather Network (Website or TV channel) usually has a map and calendar showing where and when the leaves are changing, but I don’t see it on their website yet….might be too early. HOWEVER, a few days ago in Brampton I did see some maples starting to change colour. This was in a forested area. Since you’re further north I’m sure a few might have started in your area as well. Best of luck with the pics!

It just depends on your location and then the nightime vs daytime temps. Cooler nights and warmer days usually make them turn faster. You should be able to do a google search with your location and fall foliage report. I know around here (mid-western US) The leaves will start to change mid-October. Good luck!

definitely a google question. It all depends on where you live. For example, the leaves start changing earlier at my parent’s house than where I live currently, and we’re only 40 minutes away from each other. The leaves change at different points every year, too (depending on weather), so it’s kind of a guessing game – like “will it rain June 7th?”.

Are you from Barrie? Not sure about Barrie but here in T.O last year the trees were beautiful a week before Canadian Thanksgiving! I remember because I had a photoshoot then.

@isabelle_86:  I’m from an hour from Barrie… it’s usually later September. Thanksgiving is usually just a bit past the peak season. It’s going to be hard to tell this year though because some leaves are already starting to change. Because the weather has been so cold I think Fall is starting prematurely in the trees.

I know Algonquin Park usually has information on their site.

I would talk to your photographer! I am sure he/she does fall pics every year!

I think it depends a lot on your latitude. I know in the north Georgia mountains, late October to the first week of November is prime leaf time.

It varies every year depeding on your location and how the weather has been leading up to autumn
