Congrats on a fall wedding! My wedding was orange and brown -- for centerpieces we had hollowed out pumpkins filled with bright fall flowers. They were relatively short (non view obstructing), went perfectly with the fall theme, and I loved them! Some pics of my wedding (including ceterpieces) are in this old thread:
@Erindesmar: That sounds so pretty!! I like the orange and brown combo...I threw yellow in there as well. What color were your bridesmaid dresses?
We're having a fall themed wedding this year so I have about a bazillion ideas. Our colors are burnt orange & chocolate brown with eggplant, gold, rust red and green accents. Here's what we're doing thats theme related...
Favors: Orchard fresh (made the morning of!) mini apple pies.
Aisle decor: We're lining the aisle with fall leaves, pumpins and gourds...
Centerpieces: We're alternating floral and non floral. The floral are fall arrangements in hollowed out white gourds. They will look like this except with a gourd instead of a pumpkin...
Non-floral...
Cake: Ours will be exactly like this except 3 tiers instead of 4 and chocolate buttercream instead of fondant...
Late night snack: At around 10 pm we're going to bring out piles of apple cider donuts (again, made fresh that morning) and mini cartons of milk...
Bridesmaids: My girls are wearing burnt orange dresses...
Groomsmen: The guys are wearing chocolate brown tuxes with burnt orange ties...
Signature Drink: This is still up in the air but we're leaning towards appletinis...
Tree for gift table: I can't take credit for coming up with this since another Bee brought it to my attention but I'm obsessed with it so we're making it for our gift table...
Stationary: We ordered the invites but I DIY'ed everything else. The invites aren't overly fall but the colors are. Everything else screams autumn...
Kids Centerpiece: We're doing a mini candy buffet for the kids table centerpiece. I can't justify spending $50+ on a floral arrangement for their table when they won't give a crap about it. I think they'll enjoy the candy much more. Please note, I realize Reese's is spelt wrong. That will be changed...
Ring pillow alternative: RB pillows do nothing for me so I'm trying to DIY this to tie the rings onto. The ribbon on mine will be ivory and not quite as noticible...
Phew! That was lengthy! lol
For the record, the bridesmaid dresses are much more orange in person. I don't know why they look red on here.

My colors are burnt orange, orange, reddish orange, black, with a hint of chocolate. I know that is a lot of colors together but they look AMAZING.
Our wedding is almost like a backyard wedding. Very simple and laid back! Nothing formal! But its not redneckish like you see on tv!

Groom, Groomsmen, FOB:
They will be wear black tuxes with matching vest, tie, and pocket square to the person they are walking with. (FOB and Groom will match my dress: champagne color)
Ushers: well the judge is still out on that....my BIL and my brother want whats called pimp suits (all white) My mom has to convince them to go with black! LOL!
Ring Bearer: will be wearing black pants, black vest, black shoes, with orange bottom down shirt, and a black bow tie!
Bridesmaids:
MOH and Bridesmaid: Bright Rust Red (its a rust orange and red color mix)
Jr. Bridesmaid: Orange
My flower girls will be wearing Black dancer suit (long sleeves) with black leggins and glittery shoes with thier DIY tutus:
My mother will be wearing a tannish/champagne color Dress and jacket!
That covers most of my wedding!
If you google autumn weddings or fall wedding you will get thousands of ideas. Plus around here the other Bees come up with AMAZING ideas too. You can snag some of theirs!

me neither. I fell in love with it the moment I seen it! We are going to either turn it into an entree way bench or hang it on the wall. I showed the picture to my mom and she was able to call a guy that specializes in makeing wooden rocking horse (she has known him for years) and he gave us a GREAT price on it....only costed me $50. I cant wait until everyone sees it at the wedding....I wanted them to be like "wow that is such a great idea for a guestbook!"
Wow, i'm definately saving this as my favorites. I'm also having a fall wedding theme, so far I have the girls dresses, Apple Red color. I do want to incorporate all the beautiful colors of fall and I can't wait to get started.

Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? I cant see anyones pictures they are posting :( I am doing a fall wedding and Im really having a hard time with the decor and would love to see all the fantastic ideas you all have, but I cant see the pictures...please help! Thank you so much

I'm getting married on 10/5/2012, so very excited about it! I always wanted a fall wedding!!! We are getting married at private country club ( my parents club) and we are meeting with the wedding planner after work! I was just wondering, what kind of ideas are out there that aren't cliche? My colors are burnt orange, yellow and either red or brown ( can't deicde) The ball room changes color so I won't need uplighting. But I don't know about center pieces, favors..etc. I HATE huge canter pieces that obstruct your view, and I don't like tree branches but I would be open to other ideas. Thanks for the help!!! ;)
