I am getting married in the fal but am stuggling with “fall appropriate” colours. I don’t want fall colours (orange, red, brown) but feel that the colours I want won’t work (navy, grey and blush – but I don’t know!). The last colour is giving me issues…
The venue is very neutral – beige carpets, etc… there aren’t windows so it won’t feel fall-like. I need help!
I’m struggling with these colours… just because I want to have outside pictures in the fall doesn’t mean I need fall colours in the decor, right? Or does it? AAaaahhhhhh.

No way, I’m getting married in the spring and am using earth tones /fallish colors. I don’t think simply because you are getting married in the fall that you should follow that color route if it isn’t what you really want.

@FutureMrsKelly2014: No you don’t need fall colors to have a fall wedding. I would have chosen the colors you have now if I hadn’t moved so forward with the plans I have now. My colors are truffle, blush and ivory with gold and silver accents. I don’t like the “festive” colors of fall like the orange, red, and yellow but I do like the “warm” colors of fall like the browns, golds and so forth. I think that’s a great color combo. Maybe you can start with the attire and work your way around it. I would suggest that being the easist way. Treat the navy lke a neutral color. Like wherever you see black, substitute that with the navy. You can go so many ways with this. You can have the men wear grey suits with navy vests and have the girls wear navy dresses or have navy tuxes with grey vests and have the girls wear grey. I would start with what color flatters the girls most. Here is a link also help.

I am getting married in the fall and am going withmore traditional fall colors because I love them and they make me feel warm and happy. However, another color scheme I seriously considered going with was plum/eggplant, bronze and brown tones. I saw it done on a cake and I thought it looked so elegant and beautiful. Basically just go with what you like! Who cares about the season.
I went and found the cake to give you an idea of the colors I was talking about.

@Estrella_Luna: I love that cake – its beautiful! I do really like fall colours but want something different and I’m totally obsessed with navy. I do love the fall and the colours that go with it but want that for pictures. Such a beautiful cake – love the swag! Thanks for showing me – totally going to pin it!

@FutureMrsKelly2014: No problem! I think your colors will look really good when you put them all together and actually see it in front of your face. I am a very visual person so I really don’t get things until they are right there! And honestly, I think the navy would look really good in pictures if there are fall colors in the background. It would be a nice contrast.

- Wedding: December 2012 - Hacienda los Agaves
You don’t need to have fall colors just cause you’re geting married in the fall. It’s your wedding, enjoy it the way you want to 🙂

@FutureMrsKelly2014: What about using navy, gray and pops of yellow? I just found this:

Your colors will be fine! Not every fall wedding has to have red and orange any more than every December wedding has to use red and green.
Weddings should reflect your individuality and your taste in color is part of that.

Your colours are mine exactly! If that’s what you want, then who cares about the season?

Our colors are dark teal, tan and brown and if I do say so myself, it looks GREAT for fall. You can do whatever you want!

We are marrying in autumn with navy as our main colour. My accents are warm – champagne and blush. Our neutral is grey, with the men in grey suits. Do whatever you like!
