help, I’m kind of a novice at this!
I want to use false eyelashes & bold black eyeliner for a halloween costume tomorrow. I don’t have liquid eyeliner, nor do I want to buy it just for this purpose.
what I do have is pencil eyeliner. it’s a nice smooth non-draggy formula, but my guess is that it would be really difficult to apply pencil eyeliner after I put the lashes on (maybe the tugging would pull the lashes off).
but then again, I wonder if I apply the liner first, it will cause the lashes to not glue on very securely? (since there will be a waxy layer under the glue.) but maybe if I put some black eyeshadow on top of the eyeliner to set it, and then glue on the lashes they will stick well enough?
anyway, those are my options. should I even bother or should I shell out for the black eyeliner (which is annoying because I will never wear again)?

Put the eyelashes on first and thenwet the eyeliner pencil and make it VERY sharp so it won’t pull. It should glide on nicely after that!
Or if you have black eye shadow and an eyeliner brush, wet the brush and run it lightly through the eyeshadow and then apply after you put the lashes on. Either one should work!

Apply your liner, add the false lashes (the liner won’t affect how well they stick) and then pass over the lashes if needed to cover up any glue. I always do this and it works just fine.

You should line your eye with the pencil beforehand, apply your lashes and let dry. Once the glue is dry take the brush and get some of the kohl on it to line similar to how you would liquid liner. Like this:

I always do liner first then apply the lashes with the black glue… it blends right in and you can’t tell you are wearing fake ones if you apply them close enough to your real lashes.
