I got my last period on 6/28. I have always been 100% on schedule, 28 to 30 days, never a skipped month. I am not on any forms of BC because of the pill causes migraines, I reject IUD’s, and I am allergic to latex. However, we use condoms (normally, not perfectly).
I’ve taken three dollar store tests – all are clear as day negative. I have no symptoms of either pregnancy or period. The only odd ball right now is a bad cold.
Any ideas? Should I try a different test?

You can certainly get false negatives but I’d think that at 3-4 days after your missed period that should no longer be happening. They are typically seen (from my understanding) if you test too early and there isn’t enough pregnancy hormone in your system yet.
Have you been stressed lately? That can throw off your period. Or your cold could be affecting it too.

Stress, or ur cold could be put into play… Try a First Response or another test

Are you taking cold medicine to fight the cold? Sometimes that can delay ovulation which, in turn, can delay AF. If not, I’d say waiting another 3-4 days and testing would be your best bet. Waiting is no fun though!

@MRSLMA: Agreed with this!.

Thanks everyone! I will wait a few more days – which is going to be hard to schedule, because we have a church camping trip this weekend. I’m not on cold meds – just benadryl at night to help me sleep. Otherwise, I suffer through colds normally.
Truth be told, I’m hoping it’s just a skip for some reason. We just moved three hours from home, into a great two bedroom apartment, major life change. But the second bedroom is my office so I can study and finish my MBA. Not exactly perfect timing – if I were pregnant, the due date would be Apr 4, which is smack in the middle of the spring semester. So, as much as we both want kids, we’re both hoping it’s a wierd negative.

Same boat here. LMP 7/1/12 and a dollar tree test was negative yesterday. I took a Walmart brand test today and got a BFP! Yay ayah! I’ve heard that the dollar stores don’t store their tests at the right temp so definitely retest!
