My FI and I keep waffling between haing a tiny wedding here with family, or just going and eloping with his daughter. We don’t have a lot of money to spend on a wedding right now and we have never taken a acation as a family, just the three of us. SO the elopment just makes sense in a lot of ways.
My fiance and I had been throwing around going to Vegas almst as a joke, but now we are thinking that that might be a great idea. And I have heard that Vegas is six-year-old friendly, as long as you plan your trip wisely.
What are some other elopment destinations that would be fun with a six year old. We live in the Northeast of the US and wouldn’t want to have plan tickets that are TOO expensive.

@freshflowers: My first thought was to do a google search for “family friendly vacations in the northeast.” Low and behold there are several articles on this!
Family Resorts in the Northeast US
Top 20 Resorts in the Northeast
Top 3 Northeast Family Resorts
Northeastern US – Kid-friendly vacation getaway
This could at least give you a feel for what there is to do near you. Then you can build a vacation around that. Either stay at one resort, or just stay in the area because if offers alot but you pick your owh hotel. I’m sure some of these places offer some type of small wedding services or could work with you if you brought in your own officiant and flowers.
If elopement is not mentioned, still inquire within. I am thinking a weekday would probably open many more options than a weekend.

What about to Florida? It’s got a ton to do, and it’s a pretty affordable trip (especially in the summer!)

@freshflowers: I would definetly do Vegas! Or you could always go to Florida, like Ft. Lauderdale and get married on the beach.
