Hi ladies,

I need any good idea that you may have. FI's aunt gave a beautiful antique hankerchief this weekend at my bridal shower. She would like me to have it for my wedding day as a something old (now I have multiple old things!). Anyways, I am not sure how to use the hankerchief at the wedding. I am hesistant to pin it to anything because it is so old. Any ideas of how I can use or wear the hankerchief on my wedding day/

If you will be carrying a purse, you can tie it around one of the straps. You can also wrap it around your bouquet.

I second the idea of wrapping it around your bouquet. I have a length of lace that my grandmother made & that's what I'm doing with it. I'm interested to see what you decide. :)

i used an antique hanky for my something blue. i was carrying a family bible too, so i just tucked it in the pages.

My family has a wedding hanky too. I wrapped it around my bouquet. As soon as the ceremony was over my mother snatched it back from me : )

I have one from my grandmother who passed away last summer and I'm going to have it with me during the ceremony. I know I'm going to cry, so I'd rather have a pretty hankerchief rather than a wadded up kleenex! LOL!

Thanks for all of the suggestions, ladies. I think I like the purse idea the best just because I worry that I would lose the hankerchief if it was attached to my bouquet!

Now I need to find a purse. I think I want a champagne or godl purse since my shoes are gold. Is it weird to have a non-white purse with a wedding dress??

Noooo, you don't need a white purse! I love the idea of a bridal purse with a pop of color or personality! I also like the idea of keeping the handkerchief in the purse so you don't worry about losing it. I'm also going to carry a handkerchief that belonged to FI's grandma, and I'm still figuring out how/where myself :-)
