Have you considered palladium? I've heard it's a slightly different color than platinum, but it has a lot of the same properties so it won't wear as differently as white gold. Plus of it is scratches and wear can be buffed out without losing metal. Moissaniteco sells some beautiful blingy palladium bands for very reasonable prices.

Hey all!
So I looove my E-ring (belonged to FI's grandmother) but it's a platnum ring, and the wedding band that I have for it also is just a plain band and I was hoping to have something a little more blingy - but platnum bands are crazy expensive! Still...I'd like to have the same type of metal so the shine will match and all that....
What are you ladies doing for wedding bands for your heirloom rings?
