The Family Book by Todd Parr sounds like it would fit your needs. It's written for children younger than your daughter but may have what you're looking for. Especially for reading aloud.

I certainly hope that someone here can help. I have a 9 year old daughter and am getting married in a few weeks. My FI and I decided to have a family unity ceremony after our vows to signify that we are becoming a family as well as a couple. I would like to have my daugher do a reading that talks about family. My thoughts were that it would be a poem or e xcerpt from a book that explains how important family is or how families are made in different ways - something like that. I have found nothing so far that is short, on topic and appropriate for a 9 year old. I thought about having her write a letter to us or a letter about family. She is fine doing the reading but doesn't want to write anything. Does anyone have any ideas?
