Anyone playing this year? I have a family league that drafts tonight. I have 4th pick out of 18 teams! Biggest league i’ve ever played in…
If you could count on the person with 1st pick to choose Tom Brady who would your choice be for 4th pick? would you go QB or RB?
I’m so torn! i’m pretty sure I’m going to try and pick up Aaron Rodgers, and if not then possibly Cam Newton but am I stupid for going with QB instead of a Ring Bearer for my first round? I’ll have to wait for it to go all the way to 18 then back down again before I get to pick my second round. Talk about stressful!

I’d go running back for sure. There are a lot of QBs who can get you good points each week. I think strong RBs are harder to come by.
ETA: My Yahoo league drafted on Friday evening and most people didn’t take a QB until at least their 3rd pick. There were 12 people in our draft.

I’m in a college fantasy league and the way our point system works I always choose a QB first round and then I try to grab a good WR that plays for te same team to double my points. Not sure how your league works tho. Good luck!!! So glad football is back!!

@totheislnds: My Fiance and I are playing in my work league this year too (we usually play in a different league but I figured it was too hard to try and play while planning the wedding at the same time). We also have the #4 pick (but only out of 10). The way that our league looks like it’s going, the first 2 picks will be: Arian Foster and then Ray Rice. These guys have already come out to say that’s who they’re picking. We have no idea who #3 will pick but our goal is to get either Aaron Rodgers or LeSean McCoy. So it seems like our draft will be a little different than your draft…
With that said, I think I would suggest getting one of the top 3 RBs since you’re in a position to get one – Arian Foster, Ray Rice, or LeSean McCoy. But that’s just my 2 cents…Fiance created a computer program to analyze what the best choices are (yes, he’s a little intense) and came up with the conclusion that the top tier (top 3) RBs were so much higher than the other RBs that if we were in the position to get one, we should over the QBs. But go with your gut…my Fiance can get a little technically when it comes to certain things. If your gut is telling you Aaron Rodgers, then go with Rodgers.
Hopefully that helps!
