Haha...I can relate. My husband is in 3 fantasy baseball leagues this season! He's usually in 2 fantasy football leagues and he even did fantasy basketball one year. I wanted to know what the hype was about, so, i joined my little brother's baseball league. It's fun, I'll give him that, but I don't know how he keeps it all straight! I have to ask him for help like every 2 minutes!
Mine does fantasy football with my brother's 'league' and he's always done fantasy baseball but this year he has FOUR teams!! He really enjoys it so I support him in his 'hobby' :o)
I never understand the rules to fantasy games, nor do I particularly understand real life sports events so, I don't get the appeal. My FI isn't into it, but my step dad loves it!
My FI and I both love watching sports on TV but never understood the rules of fantasy nor do we have time to watch/catch it all to make our fantasy teams awesome.
I'm so glad Mr.bobby isn't into that! Mainly because I don't understand it lol.
@jennifer, i was exactly like you until i met FI!
actually when we first starting dating was the year that he started REALLY getting into FANTASY FOOTBALL... just my luck right?!
i swear the only reason we have directtv is so that FI can spend a ridic amount of money on being able to see every single football game... NFL TICKET
he goes to mass on saturdays during football season, just so he has all day sunday to sit and not to anythign but stay on his laptop and watch ALL... and i mean EVERY SINGLE football game.
from april (draft time) - feb (superbowl weekend) we are a football family. i get march to be football free! :O
anyway, he's done pretty well.. in the last few years he's won each of his leagues (he's in two)... twice separately.. = thousands in winnings.
i've become his consultant... and i'm excited for the draft coming up... he's turned me over... and i think i'm gona play in one of the leagues this year.
he almost had a panic attack when he realized our wedding weekend/honeymoon is in SEPTEMBER! LOL right at the critical point of fantasy football... but he's figured it all out already.
*WHEW... that was a mouthful!
The boy LOVES his fantasy teams! He has at least one team every season, but lucky for me he only checks on them once a day (usually) and hardly ever watches the actual games (if we are together). He is a baseball player so he checks up on his teams/watches more games this time of year.
When he is moving players around and can't decide between two players, he lets me pick by deciding who is better looking :D
My FI and I were cracking up reading your posts.
It drives me crazy when we are trying to do something around the house or out to dinner and he is constantly checking his scores or the scores of a game. But if that is worst thing he does, I am A-OK with it. It is actually pretty cute, but I would never tell him that!
@missjyc, I was orginally talking about getting married at the end of August and my FI was like "NO! That is draft time for my football league!" Our wedding is September 11 now!! So, I know what you mean about the panic attack! =)
LOL, we have the opposite problem. I am totally addicted to fantasy NASCAR and my FH just shakes his head and asks me "How do you go from fashionesta to NASCAR in the blink of an eye?" LOL I love keeping him guessing.
@tksjewelry, That is to funny! I think that my FI does fantasy Nascar sometimes too!
Joe does fantasy NASCAR, but hates racing in real life! He just does it because it's another "fantasy" thing to compete in!
I really wanted to play on his fantasy football league, because I am really good at picking people! He let's me pick for him all the time. He won't let me play on his league though.
He also does fantasy golf, and fantasy baseball. I don't mind the baseball, because I am a total freak for MLB whatever.
@ILikePink, My FI won't let me play on his league either! I keep telling him that I am going to start my own league and only pick cute players! ;-) I am willing to bet comments like that are exactly why I am not invited to join the league!! Ha!!
@Tonya2010, I will join your league. How do you think I picked my drivers - yup level of cuteness. LOL
@tks, hahahaha!!!! Love it! We can start a Wedding Bee Fantasy Sports Board!

I feel like my FI participates in EVERY fantasy sport out there. Fantasy football, basketball, baseball.... He is constantly online at home or if we are out he is on his phone checking scores or setting up "his team". I am just curious how many other guys are doing this. It cracks me up how serious it is to him! Last night he came running in the living room talking about Alex Rodriguez and his home run...you would have thought we won the lottery! =)
