That's one of the issues we're running into. Darn big famlies! I'd love to see the venue, what is it?
What about the Morton Aboretum? Or Brookfield Zoo?
Any of these maybe? http://www.chicagoweddingvenues.com/main/?page_id=3513

I am in love with it! We had to cut down the list a lot to make it work, but it was worth it to us.
Good Luck!
This place is in Willowbrook and can accomodate up to 500 guests. Don't know much about it though.
This is the far west suburbs, but it's just such a beautiful location. It's in Oswego.

I've been there lots of times, really a beautiful piece of property. Worth a look.

Hello bees! I need a little bit of help. I'm looking for a rustic or farm venue in the south or west suburbs of Chicago. I don't like typical banquet halls or country clubs. My main issue with them is white (or peach) walls, with floral valences and chair covers (I hate chair covers). I want a venue with some character that is not going to break the bank. My fiance and I are both from the south side of Chicago, so we do not want to make our guests travel more than 1 hour. We are planning to get married October or early November 2012. We'll have around 250 people. I feel like I have scoured the internet and come up with nothing! Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!
