I actually prefer maxi’s that cover the feet. I think the ones that end at the ankles look a bit silly. Do you trip over it when you walk? If not id say keep it. But if you’re tripping… Well, theres nothing sexy about a girl who cant walk properly because of her clothes :p

I’m going on vacation next week to Florida and just want a couple comfortable, casual dresses to wear during the day…enter the maxi dress. First off I am 5’11 and thin. I’ve always felt my body type to be very awkward, I have super long legs and a short torso so short dresses honestly just look skanky on me. I bought one maxi dress that was entirely too short so I ordered one online (extended length) and it is ENTIRELY too long! It completely covers my feet (and I am not planning on wearing heels…at all)
I don’t know much about fashion at all but does it look awkward if the dress completely covers your feet and is too long? Any other tall bee’s out there who have problems finding clothes that fit!

Which brand did you buy from? I’m guessing Old Navy? You could try longer length options at other stores, hem the ones you’ve got, or perhaps try a “high-low” maxi where the front is cut shorter than the back. Yes, it’s going to look silly for your dress to be dragging all over the ground, not to mention it’s going to get filthy.

dv3849: I prefer the longer ones, too. Maybe with just a tiny part of the toes showing just to prevent tripping. I wore one that ended at my ankles with high heels and thought it looked bad, but in pictures I just looked really tall (I’m 5’2). I still like the longer ones better, though!
