The great thing about navy blue is that it’s considered a neutral, and that means it’ll go with basically anything – including other neutrals (black, white, brown, grey). So, go crazy and do whatever you want! Grey tights will work, black tights will work. Nude shoes, brown shoes, gold shoes, grey shoes – what about teal or red? Boots or pumps or flats?

For inspriration, google “navy dress with tights” and it’ll come up with a lot of different tights/shoe combinations to steal ideas from! Here are a few examples that I like:

@MrsPanda99:  How about a pic of the dress, that way we have a better idea of what we’re workin’ with? 🙂 I love Cognac shoes with just about anything, especially navy. Not knowing details of the dress, I’d probably do navy or dark grey tights, cognac boots, and a colorful scarf or something.

@MrsPanda99:  I think a Navy dress and grey tights would look lovely. In regards to what shoes you should wear I think black would look nice. Or red… red navy and grey go well together.

For inspiration I did do a quick search of google image for navy dress grey tights. I would suggest you do the same! I came up with some great pics!

@MrsPanda99:  Where are you wearing the dress? Is it a formal dress, work dress, or something more casual?

I am actually loving navy and black together right now. I think you could easily pair a navy  dress with black tights and shoes, and then maybe some black jewellry to tie it all together.

I love navy and nude together (my BM dresses are navy and they’ll be wearing nude shoes). You can always wear nude hosery, I think nude is better fitting for spring/summer.

You could also do navy dress+navy tights, and then grey or brown shoes.

You can totally do black or gray tights/leggings. Also, I love a nice gold, silver, or lighter blue flat with a navy dress — totally adds some pop to a neutral dress, like these from J.Crew.

I personally love either beige or bright red with navy – I’d wear nylons and freeze, and wear either nude or bright red heels. ;P

I’d go navy/black/black for a work function, navy/gray/red for a social occasion!

Blue and orange are complimentary colours.  So if you want to really have your accessories pop, coral or orange are great options.

But since it’s winter and those are not super wintery colours, you could wear brown/rust colored boots like this http://www.pinterest.com/pin/104286547594350782/

Also gold or copper shoes would look fantastic with navy.

I think black and navy together is totally fine. For a work function, I’d do black tights with black shoes (maybe something patent to make it dressier). I personally really dislike dark stockings with lighter coloured shoes.

I’d say black tights with black shoes would be great.  OR, knee high tan or black boots (depending upon the dress).

I love the mint color shoes another bee posted. If probably go for nude/red shoes. Black tights will work but I think it’d look best if they’re not totally opaque
