Do you have a price range in mind?  There are a lot of pretty bridesmaid dress designers out there but I feel like they will always be more expensive then off teh rack.  Check out department stores such as Macys and Nordstroms.  Also check out Ann Taylor, White House Black Market, ABS, BCBG, J. Crew.  As far as bridesmaid disegners, I really like BariJay and Watters.  good luck!

What is your price range? Here is my advice: look up local bridal boutiques in the Chicago area (I’m sure there are many). Check their website or call the store directly to see what bridesmaid dress brands they carry. Then, check out the BM dress websites.

Here are a few BM dress sites to get you started:

Also, look on Nordstrom.com, they have great dresses. Hope that helps!

Cubbie – you want to avoid the bridesmaid look and you’ve only been to David’s Bridal and House of Brides?? Of course you are feeling frustrated!

I’m assuming you want to keep the price low, if I were you I would stick to white house black market adn J.Crew. Ann Taylor has almost 0 selection and BCBG is very pricey. Another option is obviously to let them choose their own black tea-length dress. It won’t look as bridesmaidsey if all the dresses are slightly different. Good luck!

I don’t think you need to be committed to “bridesmaids” dresses.  There are long black dresses everywhere!  Start with Nordstoms.  Also, check out Bluefly.

Honestly, Barijay Bridesmaids (www.barijay.com) has everything you are looking for with the best prices.  I am doing the Barijay #641… it is only $130.

They really have the best dresses at the best prices!
