I am SOO embarrassed about my big fat heavy and wide upper arms!
I LOVE my sleeveless wedding dress because it is everything I want and looked very good on me…so bought it. I do NOT regret my dress selection/purchase.
Whenever I see the pics of me in my dress my eyes automatically stare straight at my arm flab! Then I look at my overall largeness and just feel…UGH!
Anyone else feel like this?

are you doing cardio and weight training? not only will it help you lose weight, but it will help you feel more confident about your body — arms included.
also, i’m sure your arms aren’t nearly as big as you think they are.

I totally know how you feel. I have 10 months before my wedding, so I’m desperately trying to lose weight and tone my arms. But I just don’t know if it will happen. 🙁
Try to remember that you’ll have the “bridal glow” no matter what your weight! Try to focus on the things you love about your wedding day look.

Hi – I feel exactly the same. Have been going back and forth about adding sleeves to sleeveless dress, wearing bolero (worried I’ll roast), or just having bare upper arms. Also know I can take action and try to change this, doesn’t change my reaction at this point. Here’s hoping it gets better for both of us.

i have the same problem. i ended up picking up one of those shake weights and it has actually done wonders. ive lose 1/2 inch off my arm flab and ive been using it about 3 1/2 weeks. totally worth the money to pick one up.

I am horiifed that I will look like a double roll of toilet paper on my wedding day. I worry about my fat nasty arms and my tummy. I keep telling myself that I going to lift weights, but I just pick up a slice of pizza instead of weights 🙁

Push ups. They tone arms, back, and stomach at the same time. I started from 1 or 2 and now I am up to 15 a set. By April I should be good to go….or at least closer to being good to go =)

I soooo feel the same way!!!! You’re not alone!! I hate my arms and NEVER show them, but my dress is a one shoulder and I love it, wouldn’t trade it, but I HATE my arms. I also hate my double chin! I have no idea how I’m going to hide these 2 things in my wedding photos and I’m so freaked that I will hate them! I’m doing cardio and weight training 3 to 4 days a week but my wedding only a week or so after yours and I’m begining to feel there is no hope to decrease these spots.
At least we are in wonderful relationships with men who love us no matter what, right? 🙂

Most wedding dresses make you feel self conscious about your arms because the rest of your body is all covered up in fabric and the only part on show is your shoulders and arms! But the thing with wedding gowns is that the dress is so striking that it takes most of the atttention, the focus will be on the dress and the overall impression rather than one part of your body like the arms.
I’ve started going to a class at the local gym, it’s an hour and is a mix of aerobics and boxing and martial arts, it’s really good fun and is great for your upper body strength.

I found a great website that has specific arm exercises. It is called NowLoss.com. The arm exercises can be found here. Just select the exercises that are best for you. I have been doing them for a couple of weeks now, and I have noticed a big difference.

I feel like that every day of my life, but guess what? I felt like that when I was 18 and had arms that probably looked good to others. I felt like that when I was 28 and had arms that looked decent. I felt like that when I was 38 and so on! I’ve always thought my arms were horrible. My point is – what you think about your arms probably has very little to do with reality! Embrace yourself! You are healthy and have two big beautiful arms!

I feel you!! I used to HATE my arms and would never leave the house without a cardigan. Even when it was 100 degrees out.
I worked my ass off toning them up before the wedding.

I totally hate my arms too! I always want to have them covered, even though my friends always tell me I am crazy (they happen to all be thinner than me too). I wanted my wedding dress to have sleeves, but EVERYTHING was sleeveless! Ugghh! I got my dress that did not have sleeves, but it did have straps. I love it so much that I have somewhat forgot about my arms. Hopefully I will be able to work it on before the BIG day….not really having the motivation to do it though 🙁

I’m glad I’m not the only one, I’m using shake weights and boxing on my wii fit. I’m starting to feel a difference in tightness already =)
