I had waffles in honor of Shrove Tuesday! I didn't have pancakes and figured waffles would do!

I voted yes and no! I am totally trying to avoid the Paczkis this year...but my work is having a Mardi Gras potluck! Nooo!

I do love a good Paczki though, especially a cherry filled with powder. Om, nom nom!

I love all the names today has! It's interesting how culturally diverse today is:

Shrove Tuesday, Mardi Gras, Malasada Day, Fastnacht Day, Sprengidagur, Pancake Tuesday, and Carnival

I didn't know you could eat pancakes today too?! We just have paczkis in Detroit because of the very Polish Hammtramck. FI works in Hammtramck, so he's getting me paczkis today. And my co-worker brought some in, so that's double paczkis today!

@ejs4y8: They are the most sugary, fatty, delicious, jelly donuts you could imagine. If you have any Polish bakeries near you, they've probably got them today.
