So here I am trying to fill out my DJ List, and it's almost late. I am having problems picking my father-daughter dance:
My two choices are: Brown Eyed Girl, Van Morrison and My Girl, The Temptations
MY GIRL: This is a sentimental song. This was my favorite, favorite movie as a child growing up. I love this song! My dad probably remembers that I loved this movie and that I was the same age as the actress when it came out, we saw it in the movie theater together. Also, it's slower and easier to slow dance to. I also see it as more elegant sounding and classic. I can imagined myself in a wedding dress dancing when I hear this song. I do know this is real popular/overused at weddings, right? I'm leaning more towards this song.
BROWN EYED GIRL: Discusses a lot about childhood/growing up with a dad. I also like this song a lot. It's a little fast for my taste, maybe would be a little harder to slow dance too? I have brown eyes. I also think this would be a cute song/like the lyrics a bit. This song has grown on me a bit. It is unique. Most people like this song a lot, so if I don't pick it, i will have the DJ play it for all my guests during dancing, and then ask my dad to dance with me again then(as a 2nd song). I don't think I could do that with My Girl.
