My Dad and I are not close at all despite that he will still be walking me down the aisle and we’ll do the father/daughter dance as well (to give you an idea of how “close” we are, the last time I saw him was at my sisters wedding about 3 years ago).
I dont want anything to sappy or sentimental. He is a big Paul McCartney, & Eric Clapton fan. If anyone knows of any song choices that would be appropriate I would appreciate it! Thanks!!

God, I am in the same boat….anyone have any songs that are like 2 minutes max that would work? I really don’t want to awkwardly dance with my dad for longer than that lol….

I don’t have specific song, but have a similar situation. Maybe this will work for corykru too. I love my dad, but am not super close to him and my fiance hates dancing. We still want to honor our parents with the traditional dances, but we’ll probably do a combined father/daughter and mother/son dance.
We’ll start with me and my dad, then my fiance and his mom will come on after about a minute, then me and my dad will leave about a minute later. We each get our time alone on the dance floor but no one has to dance for more than 2 minutes.

@bmore: Thats a great idea! I didn’t even think about that….thanks so much! I would not even be doing a father daughter dance or have him walk me down the aisle, but my mom is very traditional. She even wanted us to take special dancing lessons together LOL. I was like yeah….thats not going to happen lol :-P. I think my BF (he has the ring but I’m still “waiting” lol) would appreciate this too. He loves his mom, but this may be a lil too touchy feely for his liking too. Thanks again!
