Would have been Eric Clapton's "My Father's Eyes" but my dad will be getting knee surgery and wont be able to dance. Thinking of still playing the song and dancing with my fiance during it or sitting with my dad. He loves Eric Clapton.
Ours was "walk with you" by Edwin McCain...so sweet and very few people know about it! Love it.
"You Raise Me Up" by Josh Groban. I asked my step dad to choose the song he wanted us to dance to. He researched and researched and more than once I got a voicemail with a potential song. Very sweet and touching.
My dad LOVES "Daughter" by Loudon Wainright. It's actually the song playing in the credits of the movie Knocked Up while they are showing pictures of all the actors and crew as babies.
I think it's an incredibly adorable faughter-daughter dance song.
we are doing God Only Knows- The Beach Boys... i remember listening to them with him as a kid plus my wedding is at the beach... so it makes sense.
I let my Dad pick the song - first he wanted "Butterfly Kisses" but then decided he would prefer "Cinderella" by Steven Curtis Chapman.
My friend really loves Butterfly Kisses, but I danced to "Always in All Ways" by Kenny Loggins. I really like that song, and it's not commonly used. I also just heard "Letting Go" from the musical Jekyll and Hyde and it made me cry!
We are thinking of Mark Harris: Help you find your wings..it's a really nice song..good luck=)

@mightysapphire - thanks for the Kenny Loggins suggestion - my dad loves him (and even kinda looks like the guy.) I might suggest that to him and see what he thinks...

Asked my dad last night about this and he already had a song picked out. It fits us. We are using Daddys Girl by Red Sovine, probably going to two step to it or something, not sure yet.
I let my Dad pick the Father Daughter Dance Song. It was "Little Folks" by Charlie Daniels. It was perfect. You really have to listen to the words.
We're going to use "Blackbird" by the Beatles. My dad and I both love the Beatles, and it's such a pretty song.
I love the Heartland song! That would have been the one I would have chose if my Dad wouldn't have already had one he wanted :)
I'm still deciding but I like Daughters by John Mayer, Daddy's Angel by Anthony Carter and Walk with You by Edwin McCain and I'm still searching for more ideas.
I like "What a wonderful world", "I loved her first", "my little girl" and "the way you look tonight" a lot :)

I think that anything except for Butterfly Kisses...I cringe when I see the bride and her father walk to the dance floor and that song starts.=) That is just me though...to each there own. What kind of music does your dad like? Maybe he could help you choose so that it would mean something to you and to him. Good luck!!
