sarahroby:  What is the groom wearing? You don’t want the Dads dressed more formally than the groom.

sarahroby:  Would they normally dress like the groomsmen? If not, I would not have them dress that way. We are have a rustic wedding as well and my FI and son will be wearing something similar to what you described. My dad will have on boots as I am sure my FI’s grandfahter will. These are their normal dress shoes. However, my brother has more of a “preppy” kind of style, he wears like loafers or oxfords and my future BIL will probably have on motorcycle boots.

I would not have them wear tuxes but something that would be normal dressy attire for them.

sarahroby:  Oh, and in colors that will match the wedding. Maybe place them in yellow or blue shirts or one of each. How are the moms dressing?

sarahroby:  I think a tux or even a suit might be too dressed up (and too hot) compared to what the rest of the groomsmen/groom will be wearing. Maybe a dress shirt and tie, and khaki pants or dress pants.

All the guys important should be wearing the same level of formality.

sarahroby:  For us, our rustic theme is kind of a backwoods boy and fairytale princess. I & my girls will be a little more dressy.  So my mom will be a little more dressy. What types of dresses will the bridesmaids have on?

sarahroby:  I would not go over the top with your moms dress either. Something casual. Nice maxui dress maybe. Not sure how old your mom is, mine is mid 50’s and the maxi dress in a shade of blue or yellow would work for her.  Again, I would not dress the men up more than the rest of the wedding.
