Do it!  It’s your wedding!  And, although it might not make sense to everyone in attendance, it will mean something to you and your father — that’s what counts!

I don’t think it’s weird at all, I mean that’s the whole point of a father/daughter song isn’t it? For it to be meaningful for the two of you. So weirdness be damn, do what you want!

Plus, I like the song haha.

Honestly, it sounds a teeny bit odd to me.  But maybe that is because it is the song FI chose for him and his mom.

I’d say that if it means something to you two, that’s all that matters!  Go for it.

It sounds like it has a great sentimental value to you guys. Do it! Its your wedding who cares what everyone else thinks.

I think that is totally fine. My FI is actually having a “grooms” processional to this song, because it’s his favorite song of all time, and it describes him perfectly. He is so proud to get to walk down the aisle to it! We both love it…my father daughter dance is going to be “Lullabye” by Billy Joel, and I thought it might be a bit weird, because it’s kind of a father singing to his daughter as a small child, but the same goes for me as with your dad – every time I hear it, I think of him! Do what you like!

I personally LOOVE the song! And who cares if anyone thinks its weird.  If it holds special meaning to you and your dad, then go for it!! That’s the whole point of the dance.

I still haven’t figured out what mine will be, but it will definitely hold special meaning for the two of us, and not just be a popular father-daughter dance song!

I say do it. It doesn’t matter what others think. Maybe the d.j could say a little something beforehand about how your Dad feels about the song?
