I'm trying to brainstorm the same thing. Seeing as he currently needs new 'wheels' for his bike (the push-pedal kind) - that may be his father's day present :) We're so practical in this house. But it'd be nice to get him something sentimental - even if it's small.
thanks for this post, i didn't realize fathers day was so soon and we just found out i'm pregnant. i'll have to start thinking about this too!
My FFIL loves playing poker online...never the real thing, lol. I got him an electronic Sudoku game for Christmas, because he was always playing in the newspaper. I have decided to get him some playing cards and poker chips for Father's Day.
When my mom was pregnant with me, they didn't know if I would be a boy or girl so for fathers day my mom brought a tiny pair of football shoes and a tiny pair of ballet slippers for him to hang on his car mirror. She also took him out to dinner :) I turned out to be a girl and my dad still has the ballet slippers but now he keeps them on his desk in his office, just kind of a cute thing I guess.
My DH is a new Daddy and the only thing I can think to get him for Father's Day is a Brag Book. So for anyone with new Daddy's you might consider that.
I love the little shoe idea and the brag book!!
If you wanted to go along with the outside chair, a hammock might be a good idea! That's what my daughters are getting my husband (their stepdad) for Fathers day bc he said that he was so excited for next summer to take lazy hammock naps with the baby.
@Miss Starlet, I love that idea! Unfortunately our outdoor space is Manhattan sized, so we are incredibly lucky to even get a table and a lounge chair :)
This is a great post. My hubby will be a Dad any day now so it would be awesome to get him a little something for Father's Day whether our DD arrives beforehand or not.
What's a Brag book?
For those who don't know or don't like Google: ;-)
A brag book is a small photo album for 4x6 photos so that when people ask to see pictures of the baby, you have a small 20 photo bok to show them. :-) I bought this one for DH.

That dress is so stinking adorable!! We're hoping for a boy, but if we have a girl I'm totally making that dress.
@Janna, bummer about the hammock. I love my yard, but I miss living in a big city, too!

So I have my husband's birthday, our anniversary and his first father's day (baby is due in August) all in June! I was wondering if anyone had any good ideas for a father to be father's day present??
HE got me an outdoor lounge chair for mother's day so I can rest outside while I am home on maternity leave!
