Our first baby will be born one week before Father’s day this year. I’m having a c-section and therefore won’t be able to drive or really do anything except take care of the baby and try to recoup during that week. He’s going to be helping me out A LOT and he deserves a great Father’s day gift, but I don’t know what to get him! Is the gift of a newborn baby enough? Haha. He unfortunately won’t be able to sleep in or kick back and relax because I’ll still need his help just to get out of bed and stuff like that. What can I do?

idoalterations: Does he have a camera? He’s going to be taking a lot of pictures soon.
You could get him a gift certificate for a portrait with his baby
a man bag from Diaper Dude
Home Game- An Accidental Guide to Fatherhood from Amazon

A commemorative coin, if he is into remembering dates? The post office usually has all sorts of interesting sets.

You could make him a coupon book that he can use at a later date.
I’m taking my DS to a pottery painting place and making my DH a coffee mug with DS’s handprints. Perhaps you can have a family member bring you a similar kit from Michaels to do at home while your husband is at work?

I was gonna say coupon book too. Or IOU vouchers he can redeem. If you have a printer at home, print a pic and frame it, with baby’s foot and handprint. \
It’s my hubby’s 1st father’s day as a dad of 4 and baby’s 1st father’s day so we made him a card in mommy and me classes with his handprint and pic of the baby. That was baby’s gift to his dad. Oh and a piece of choclate was inside the card as well. simple and hubby loved it (among his other gifts from our other kids).
