I think you look amazing! That style is perfect on you, and you honestly look like you have long hair.
Do you need to have the 2nd clip on the other side? I think the feather is plenty detail, but as a short-haired person, I understand the need for that clip!
@heyitssamyrae: Uhm, that looks BEAUTIFUL. I absolutely love it.
BTW - be my personal hairsylist? THANKS!
@pccl: awe thanks! :) and I tried not using the clip, and just using bobby pins, but I felt self concious that you could see all the pins, even though they were black. LOL But the clip also holds my hair back better, without having to worry about the pins falling out. I could also always go with a more simple clip, one that blends in a little better. lol
@MissPumpkinPie: awe yay! Thank you! :D I was so nervous about this hairstyle! haha And I totally would be if I could ;) haha
I love the look on you. I even like the second clip. The only thing I don't like are those pieces of hair that aren't pulled back. I think it's like tendril curls, at one point they looked cool but down the road it's like "WTF was I thinking?" I think it would look cleaner and more modern to pull it all back.
@EsqBailey: Yeah, you do have a point. lol I don't want to look "outdated" at all, so I might have to try it again without the pieces down. :)
This is definitely a winner. Whille I've liked your down-do trials you're done before, this 'do is absolutely stunning.
Definitely go for it. And I really like @EsqBailey's suggesting about pinning it all up for a cleaner look.
@Ivorybuttons: thanks! :) And yeah, the more I think about the pieces that are down, the less I like them. haha! So I think I will pin them back too. but thank you :) I'm really happy now :) lol
@Ivorybuttons: Yes it is and I am SOOOO excited!! :D It hasn't exactly hit me yet, but I'm sure it will. :) I'm still a little anxious because I'm waiting for my dress to come back from alterations, being fixed from the bad experience I had. :x I'm hoping it fits when I get it! lol
And by the way, I tried this hairstyle without the pieces hanging down, and I like it so much better! Thanks ladies for the suggestion (:
I like it! I also agree with pinning back the pieces that are down. I still really like that curly style you did awhile back too though.
Awwwhh I'm glad that worked out for you! I'm sure you're going to be stunning :)
I REALLY like the faux updo on you! Especially with your dress, I think it works even better!!
That looks great! I just chopped my hair into an inverted bob yesterday and am now back to square one with hair ideas because I love it this length. So I'm combing the boards for ideas! I like this one!

So Bees,
I am still deciding on how to wear my hair for my wedding. I wanted to do something that's out of my face and got the idea of a faux updo. I googled pictures, and a bunch of celebrities pin the sides of their hair back, and I think it looks good. So I tried it out with my accessories and my veil, and I really liked how it turned out, plus it's really simple. My veil really looks good with my hair this way too, which is one of the things I was struggling with since I'm not in love with my veil. But, here are some pics. What do you think? Is it pretty enough? or would it look better down? I do feel more elegant with this hairstyle, but I'm still undecided.
Here are some inspiration pictures:
