do you have a laptop with a webcam? check out sparkbooth.com thats what we used – its super easy! they just hit the space bar it take 4 pics and then the print screen pops right up and they can print.

i dont know about dry erase boards – i really wanted to do this but couldnt figure it out – my idea was just get post board and cut out a bunch of them – people can use front and back but you would have to make a bunch of them and throw them away – makes for alot of trash – hopefully someone else can help

but def check out sparkbooth.

we also built our photobooth out of pvc pipe and $6.00 red curtains from walmart -cheap and easy! it worked out great

We did our faux-to-booth with David Cline’s photobooth program (you buy it online with any donation of your choice) and it worked great through my mac. Then we just needed a compatible printer, which I asked for from my parents for Christmas. It was a HUGE hit. We actually didn’t even need a backdrop because we put it against a cool brick wall, and then we just got some props. Easy peasy. 🙂

You can actually get dry erase paint and make the thought bubbles that way if you want.

As for the actual setup, a camera with remote on a tripod is our plan too. But we weren’t worried about printing on site. If you are, there are some other steps you’ll need to take.

Hope that helps!

@lilmiss26: no prob! one tip – make sure you have enough lighting in the booth – the pictures from the beginning of the night (during dinner and stuff) turned out great! but when the music came on and the dimmed the lights and turned up the uplights the pictures weren nearly as clear – you can still see them but they arent nearly as good at the first bunch.

also DH and i opted to buy a webcam rather than use the one on the computer- we thought it took better still pictures- it was like 19.99 at best buy.

@lilmiss26: I’m pretty sure I’ve seen it at Lowe’s or Home Depot. They also sell chalk spray paint.

@lilmiss26: I don’t know. I feel like it probably does as long as you have a camera (obviously! lol) attached to your computer. When you get home give it a look and see. I’m sure it explains fully on the webpage. Just google david cline photobooth.
