So I’ve narrowed it down to 3 very different options for favors for our wedding. I think theres pros and cons for each, I just want to know what you would personally prefer if you were a guest.
Background: Catholic wedding with reception in a barn nearby. Alcohol will be beer and wine, caterer is providing wine glasses but we declined barware as it required a bartender (my little brother wants to do the bartending). So we could really use something to serve beer in. I designed a brand that we’re using in place of a monogram (both our names start with A, and by then both our last names will begin with L).
Our guests will be a mix of my immediate family and friends from NC, my extended family from NE, and Groom’s friends and family from KS.
-A beer glass with our brand on it (I was considering our names and date of wedding too, but after comments on other threads decided just our brand may be more subtle)
-Wildflower packets with seeds that guests can sew at home with a pre-written message on it from the company (will put address labels on it with our info- name, wedding date and future mailing address). All of the wedding flowers will be wildflowers.
-Candy buffet; Groom is not a sweet tooth-at all, but I’m an addict and so is my Dad. So I considered including popcorn, peanuts and other "salties" to help with those munchies that hit when you’re drinking that much. Plus with to-go boxes out of town guests could take them back to the hotel for a late night snack. Our cake should be delicious though, so I realy don’t want to compete with it.
I’m worried about the glass being able to travel long distance-though personally I’d just tuck it amongst clothes in a suitcase. Thoughts?

Candy buffet! People always love edible favors. 🙂

Edible is always best in my book!

Edible: always edible. 🙂 But the beer glasses also sound like a favor I would actually get some use out of!

Favors are not required. Either go with edibles that you don’t mind eating the leftovers or skip them and use the money elsewhere.

I would either skip the favor like Ember said or go with the candy bar idea. I like the idea of having something to munch on while dancing, so I like the popcorn addition.

It doesn’t seem like your in love with anything I would just spend the money on something else!

I think edible is usually best. Though my parents have etched wine glasses from 25 years ago from some wine tasting events they went to. They use them OVER the ones they bought that match!

The glasses sound expensive. I would go with the candy buffet, too.

edible! though your “brand” would be cool on a glass… if you actually use it for branding cattle… which is so cool!

I think edible will be your best bet. While I like the idea of the beer glass (and the functionality during the wedding), I think the buffet would be a bigger hit.
